Reach out to Vine Recovery today
At Vine Recovery, we offer medication-assisted treatment that provides our clients with the tools and support they need to achieve and maintain recovery. Medication-Assisted Treatment also known as MAT uses a “whole-patient” approach to treatment combining medication, cognitive & behavioral therapies.
Research shows that medication in conjunction with therapy is one of the best ways to overcome addiction. It’s also frequently used to prevent and reduce opioid (such as heroin and prescription pain relievers) overdose.
Prescribed medication can help normalize the chemistry in an addict’s brain and block the intoxicating effects of alcohol and opioids minimizing cravings. Eventually, these medications work to stop the dependency, allowing a person to stop using all drugs and alcohol without feeling intense pain.
What are the benefits of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)?
There are many reasons to start a Medication-Assisted Treatment such as:
- Minimize intense cravings
- Enable clients to fully participate in therapy
- Reduce withdrawal symptoms
- Help reduce chance of relapse
- Create more mental stability
What is suboxone treatment?
Suboxone treatment is one of the most common types of Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT). It’s one of the few medications approved for the long-term treatment of opioid addiction.
In the beginning of recovery, willpower may not be enough. Withdrawal symptoms and persistent cravings are one of the two most difficult parts of the disease, but with suboxone those elements are basically eliminated for opioid users.
You may benefit from a suboxone treatment if:
- You have previously relapsed on opioids
- You are having trouble stopping even though you desperately want to
- You are having intense cravings
- You are experiencing pain, agitation, mood swings, and insomnia when stopping
If this sounds like you, suboxone treatment may be a great option for you.
What is Vivitrol treatment?
Vivitrol is a brand name for naltrexone, a medication used to help people abstain from using drugs and alcohol. It can help people fight the cravings to use alcohol and opioids again. Research shows that Vivitrol can allow people to remain healthy and stay on the path towards sobriety.
Once a person undergoes the detox process and is stable, they can begin the Vivitrol treatment.
